Three Foundation Courses
This is a 3-module foundation course in cartomancy over 21 weeks (August through December), based on Camelia Elias’ Read Like the Devil trilogy of textbooks.

In these modules we go through the uses of the Tarot de Marseille (9 sessions), standard Playing Card decks (6 sessions), and Lenormand Oracle cards (6 sessions).
The course uses Facebook as its learning platform exclusively, so you have to have an account on FB to participate. All the interactions are within a dedicated, private group where you can access the videos, post homework exercises and receive feedback, and pose questions and receive answers in live Q&A sessions every Sunday – all of which will also available in recorded form.
The course modules are taught by Aradia Academy’s Janitor, Bent Sorensen, who uses his 30+ years of experience as a college professor to teach you how to read cards with these three types of decks. You learn how to read for questions concerning love, health, work and money – as well as straight-up fortune telling. We always read for a specific question within a well-defined context, and we don’t use rote learned ‘meanings’, but instead read dynamic, function-based strings and spreads of cards.
The teaching format is ‘the flipped classroom’ where students read a chapter per week from the textbook, listen to a pre-recorded video lecture and then ask questions and post homework. A new video will appear every Friday, and students can watch it and do the homework at their leisure, following their own pace. Every post is guaranteed feedback by the teacher, and usually will also draw comments and suggestions from fellow students.
The classes are capped at 50 students to ensure an intimate learning environment.
When the class opens, you can sign up for the full three-module course which runs over 21 weeks (August through December 2024) at the reduced price of $420 (that’s 20 bucks per lecture), or you can sign up for individual modules at $150 a piece. Note that if the course reaches its 50 student maximum for the full three-module package, there will not be additional spaces for single module students for the Playing Cards and Lenormand portions.
Requirements: Camelia Elias’ Read Like the Devil trilogy of course books, available from online bookshops as paperbacks or eBooks. A Marseille deck, a deck of standard playing cards, a Lenormand deck. You can buy a recommended Playing Cards deck and Camelia’s own Lenormand deck here.
